Patient & Family Advisory Council

A Voice for Your Family and Your Community

Patients and families offer us important insights for improving safety and the care experience. And while we’ve always been concerned about quality and patient satisfaction, we know there’s more we can do. We need to hear from you-the patients and family members who have experienced our care firsthand. That’s why Nebraska Spine Hospital (NSH) is asking interested community members to join our Patient and Family Advisory Council.

The NSH Patient and Family Advisory council is a group composed of former patients and family members, interested citizens and hospital staff. Working in partnership, we:

  • Identify hospital policies and practices that will benefit from the experience and insights of patients and families
  • Make changes that improve the care experience for patients and families
  • Share our goals and progress with NSH Senior Leadership Team annually

We’re Listening

As part of the NSH Patient and Family Advisory Council, you will be asked to attend 75% of the meetings annually and meetings generally run for 60–90 minutes every 3–4 months. Most of the Council’s work is completed during the meeting; there is minimal work outside of regularly scheduled meetings.

Membership Made Easy

We’d like to hear from you! The NSH Patient and Family Advisory Council is ready to listen to comments, suggestions, and insights—and to act on your ideas to make our care better. Won’t you consider joining us?
