Prior to spine surgery at Nebraska Spine Hospital patients have an opportunity to meet with a nurse navigator. The video below explains what you can expect during the appointment and how our nurse navigators are here to answer your questions to make you feel more comfortable with the process.

Transcription of the Nurse Navigator Pre-Op Meeting Video

In the preoperative visit its going to be a very relaxing atmosphere. You will see the Nurse Navigator, myself, or one of the other two that I mentioned, Ronnie or Brittany.

You will also get a chance to meet the pre-op nurses. What they are going to basically do is to double and triple check some of your health history, your medications, and do a mini assessment prior to your surgery.

The biggest thing is that you will meet with the Anesthesiologist. That is is your time to ask any major questions that you have or concerns about going to sleep or having your surgery.
